Job Title: Analyst Job Description: The Global Equity Group is part of the Strategic Incentives Group (SIG) and is responsible for the management, reporting and administration of the firms outstanding equity as well as its equity compensation programs. The team plays an important role in the Blackstone compensation process, working with other parts of the SIG to manage the details of new awards, handle award disposition upon employee departure, and report expenses associated with equity awards at a detailed level, from both a compensation as well as financial reporting perspective. The team also works with other groups within the firm such as Finance, Tax, and Legal to facilitate required tax withholding and reporting, payment of distributions, and SEC reporting on outstanding equity. The candidate will work on an array of functions relating to the various aspects of participation in Blackstones equity programs. The analyst will gain a detailed understanding of the concepts and details of the firms equity programs as a form of compensation. The analyst will get broad exposure across the business groups and collaborate with various teams in SIG and the Finance, Tax and Legal groups. The analysts role will grow to encompass all aspects of the equity administration process. Responsibilities include: * Maintaining outstanding equity unit count on an ongoing basis for financial statement and public reporting purposes * Recording new awards and changes to existing awards on equity platform, ensuring accuracy of all award details related to vesting, delivery, retention and other award characteristics * Working with Tax and Payroll groups to administer the income and tax reporting and withholding aspects related to delivery of vested equity * Interfacing with various third parties such as legal counsel, technology, equity plan participants and wealth advisors on matters related to equity holdings * Performing detailed ad-hoc analyses and creating presentations related to individual and firm wide Blackstone-related equity holdings for management, equity plan participants, and third parties * Managing and assisting in projects related to technology, reporting, and process improvement * Facilitating detailed quarterly reporting to participants on their investment portfolio * Facilitating payment of quarterly distributions to equity holders Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, proactive, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
