Our internship offers an opportunity to participate in hands-on financial statement and valuation analysis of owned companies in portfolio as well as purchase candidates. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; Job Description nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;nbsp; Position Responsibilities * Assist in artificial intelligence and big data research as it pertains to fundamental equity analysis. * Design, code and implement tests of classification modeling, as well as, data analysis and presentation software packages. * Acquire, format and cleanse data sets. * Compare test predictions to real world observations in conjunction with senior analysts.nbsp; Adjust accordingly. * Advance knowledge of team outside of and beyond current research projects. * Work with other Thrivent teams exploring data science. Position Qualifications * Pursuing an undergraduatenbsp;degree in data science, computer science and/or mathematics. * Track record of academic success. GPA of 3.0 or above * Exposure to R and Python. * Strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills. * Ability to communicative effectively and work closely in a team. * Familiarity with the financial services industry.
