    THE MORTGAGE LENDING SYSTEMS ANALYST APPLIES EXPERT GUIDANCE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION, MAINTENANCE, ENHANCEMENT AND SUPPORT OF THE LOAN ORIGINATION SYSTEM (LOS), PROVIDING PEACE OF MIND AND ENSURING THE MORTGAGE LENDING BUSINESS AND OPERATIONAL NEEDS ARE MET IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE REQUIRED BUSINESS GOALS AND INITIATIVES.

    1. Performs day-to-day administration, maintenance and integrations of all mortgage-related systems, including administration of LOS software, imaging or electronic file storage software, paperless or electronic processing systems and more. Ensures optimal operation of the LOS platform to provide accurate, efficient and reliable performance for all users; continually monitors performance and efficiency to identify weakness, issues of non-compliance or opportunities for improvement; consults with business units for LOS enhancements, application changes, improvements and revisions to ensure short- and long-term business objectives are achieved. Provides after-hours on-call support to address critical system access issues. Ensures defects and operational issues with the LOS are tracked, promptly addressed within established service standards, root causes identified and corrective measures implemented and reported to management appropriately. (45%)
    2. Follows and documents standard protocol for LOS updates and releases, including appropriate communication with all myCUmortgage experts and partner credit unions; ensures that testing protocols are in place and followed to monitor for excellence and integrity in the development, configuration and update of the LOS-related changes, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression Testing; ensures training support for updates is provided to all myCUmortgage experts and partner credit unions. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (20%)
    3. Maintains an expert level of understanding of all mortgage products, services, policies, compliance requirements, processes and procedures. Collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to facilitate group sessions for reviewing the functionality within the system, answer questions and seek opportunities to re-engineer LOS usage in order to drive quality improvement in loan origination. Identifies system enhancements to further automate processes and increase overall operation efficiencies. Creates and maintains system tools and reference documents that support training initiatives and improve the end user experience. (10%)
    4. Provides a consultative approach by gathering and analyzing business requirements from internal and external users; asks questions to gain key information about the business need; and develops implementation plans to complete configuration needed to complete request; set regular follow-up to ensure expectations have been met. Configures and delivers reports to business units in a timely manner to support expectations. (10%)
    5. Manages user access within the lending application system for both myCUmortgage experts and partner credit unions based on protocol set. Obtains proper documentation that aligns with our SSAE16 requirements. Maintains proper change management controls documented within the organizations change control system. System processes and procedures are consistently followed and audited on a regular basis. (10%)
    6. Performs other duties as needed. (5%)

    Required Skills

    The Mortgage Lending Systems Analyst possesses the following knowledge and skills:

    1. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance or computer-related area is required. Candidates who present an equivalent combination of formal training and experience may also be considered.
    2. Minimum of 3 years’ first mortgage lending experience and an in-depth understanding of the lifecycle of a loan is required.
    3. Minimum of 3 years’ previous Mortgage Loan Origination system administration experience, such as Mortgage Cadence or equivalent, is preferred.
    4. Demonstrated ability to understand mortgage-related calculations, policies, procedures and regulations and apply them to software applications.
    5. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
    6. Excellent analytical, problem solving, attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills required.
    7. Minimum 1 year consultant experience on systems small in size and complexity, with demonstrated experience in workflow/process analysis, requirement gathering and documentation, and creation and execution of testing plans is preferred.
    8. Experience with data reporting tools, such as Business Objects, SQL or Crystal Reports, preferred.
