Qualifications: Responsibilities + Research business questions and design analytical research/experiments + Write and review code in various programming languages, specifically SAS and R + Review and clean data to prepare for modeling + Develop models and extract insights + Review analysis and challenge assumptions and techniques + Communicate findings and recommendations to risk management teams Skills & Qualifications + Pursuing a Master's level degree, preferably in Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related analytical field + Experience utilizing advanced analytical techniques such as logistic regression and time-series modeling, as well as other data science methodologies + Knowledge of macroeconomic forecasting, preferably including mortgage market volume and metrics + Experience coding in various languages and software packages (SAS and R) to explore data and perform analytical analysis on large, disparate and complex data + Understanding of marketing campaign design and effectiveness + Effective written and verbal communication skills within a business context + Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills + Ability to think and work independently with a professional demeanor and receive dynamic on-the-job training + Indisputable work ethic with a hands-on approach defined by a strong intellect, professional charisma, leadership skills, resiliency, and a track record of proven results + Preferred experience in research modeling in the areas of mortgage prepayments, delinquencies, and defaults Explore your career possibilities at U.S. Bank and join a company that's as passionate as you are about helping our customers meet their goals and making a difference in the communities we live and work.
