    Job Description

    Ubisoft Studio San Francisco is looking for a talented Associate Animator for a FT Remote role who can bring life to characters for our new game development, XDefiant. You will create excellent first-person and other gameplay animation. The project requires realistic physics of character movements with a game 1st approach, to create authentic weapons and other user-facing related actions. The ideal candidate has experience crafting excellent hand-keyed animations. The successful candidate will have first-person shooter and competitive games experience. You are a fast learner, and new tech always excites you. You are comfortable in expressing your thoughts professionally while having an open mind for critiques.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Work with Animation Director and Lead to develop gameplay animations
    • Collaborate with animators in supporting animation tasks
    • Work with Lead Animator to prioritize your tasks and meet deadlines
    • Animate assets for use in-game
    • Develop and adhere to quality review processes. Receive and express feedback to others in open forums
    • Play the game
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING

    • Excellent understanding of body mechanics, weight, and force
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Experience with Maya and/or 3DS Max
    • Experience with Motion Builder
    • Clear communication skills
    • Gaming experience in first-person weapon-related games
    • Experience with node base game engine is a plus
    • Motion capture experience is a plus.
