Logistics Intern UniGroup, Inc. 4 reviews - Fenton, MO 63026 Internship Description Position Summary: The intern will support UniGroup Logistics and will be assigned projects and daily tasks that cross various disciplines within the logistics division. This individual will work with business development and operations professionals as well as internal and external customers to learn various aspects of the supply chain process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Acts in a professional and responsible manner supporting the Business Development Department with various projects * Provide customer support by acting as account liaison for key business accounts * Maintain and enter data into multiple computer systems * Renew client/vendor contracts * Gather and analyze data and recommend efficiency improvements * Manage new carrier process * Negotiate pricing with international and domestic transportation companies based on customers/agents requested services * Freight claim investigation and administration * Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
