    Position Title: Card Services Specialist

    Reports To: Manager of Card Services

    Status: Hourly; Non-Exempt

    Location: Newton

    Position Summary: The Card Services Specialist position serves as subject matter expert in all matters relating to USB Debit Cards. The position exists to assist cardholders and internal stakeholders with a wide range of questions, concerns, or requests relating to, but not limited to ATM cards, debit cards, mobile wallets, as well as responding to store inquiries and handling daily correspondences. Card services included debit cards, CardValet, Enfact Fraud Services, CAMs alerts, ATM activity and support.

    Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

    Deliver superior customer service to both internal and external customers in a professional manner by providing prompt, efficient and accurate service.

    Answer customer inquiries concerning card products and features.

    Respond to daily telephone calls and emails from other departments related to card products.

    Perform and maintain core file maintenance (name address, travel restrictions, new card orders, replacement card orders, closed card orders, etc.)

    Process debit card applications and order cards for new customers.

    Conduct research on debit card transaction activity and inform customers of research results.

    Process lost/stolen cards and provides provisional credit on fraudulent and disputed transactions in accordance with bank procedures and Reg. E compliance.

    Process CAMs Alerts, Enfact Fraud Service Alerts.

    Prepare necessary paperwork for claims, if applicable.

    Reconcile appropriate GL accounts and assist accounting department with pending transactions.

    Process debit card functions, including POS limit increases, PIN resets, password resets and exception reporting.

    Audit, scan, and index (as assigned) all documents, including debit card applications, disputes/fraud, authorized users, and balance transfers.

    Activate and provide customer service on mobile wallets (Android Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay) in the Client Central Online system, when needed.

    Support ATM staff by providing balance assistance and ATM system inquiry.

    Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.

    Education and Experience Requirements: High school graduate/GED required. Some college level or military equivalent preferred. Two -three years of experience working in banking card services and retail customer service preferred but not required. Understand Federal, State and Union State banking rules and regulations. Bank related courses strongly recommended.

    Specific Skills Required: Ability to communicate, written and verbal, effectively with people both internally and externally. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to identify and resolve problems. Organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with all levels within the organization. Basic computer skills to include proficiency in Word and Excel. Able to handle confidential information and positively represent the company.

    Competencies: Communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, teamwork, and customer service.

    System Accesses: Fiserv Precision, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

    Equipment Used: Office equipment which includes computer, multi-line phone system, multi-function unit, etc.

    Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. Periodic (less than 10% of the time) physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry or push heavy objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds; Constant and repetitive use of arms and hands below shoulder level for computer usage; This position exists in an office environment requiring the individual to perform normal activities including, but not limited to, lifting, filing and retrieving, operating office equipment, etc. Occasional travel may be required.
