Communicates with appropriate parties regarding appeals and grievance issues, implications and decisions. Analyzes and identifies trends for all appeals and grievances. May research and resolve written Department of Insurance complaints and complex or multi-issue provider complaints submitted by consumers and physicians/ providers. Primary Responsibilities: * Analyzes and investigates. * Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise. * Develop technical business requirements. * Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects * Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, within budget and accurately * Assist in the gathering and development of project requirements, involving all relevant stakeholders * Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress * Report and escalate to management as needed * Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on all projects, small or large * Excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, and can execute and deliver successfully in situations where authority is not a given * Process architecture, designing process flows, providing recommendation and executing changes * Change Management Requirements: * HS Diploma/GED * Experience MS PowerPoint (create presentations), Excel (sorting & filtering data) * 2+ years Operations/Project Management experience Assets: * Bachelors Degree (or higher) * Professional Technical Writing experience * Experience developing business requirements * MS Project experience (create a project plan) * Six Sigma Methodology * UHC Operations Systems knowledge is helpful (Stars System, ORS, ISET and AS400 [RxWeb]) * Healthcare and Medicare knowledge preferred Careers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.
