    The Sr Capability Analyst will conduct and manage the outcome of various studies and projects, either managing projects or guiding solutions though analysis of issues, data or process.

     

    You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

     

    • They will develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis and documentation of data and business processes. This will specifically include detailed documentation of current business rules and processes, and the identification of process and improvement opportunities to drive more usability and/or cost effective implementation approaches.
    • They will provide analysis, assessment, and tracking of systems or business requirements for assigned business units focusing on business goals. Activities will include screen design, user story development, and use case development.
    • They will execute the investigation, planning, communication and implementation of solutions for complex business problems primarily through the application of technology and/or project management methodologies. 
    • They will ensure a disciplined approach and methodology are applied to optimize cost, schedule, service and quality.

     

    Key responsibilities can be grouped into three categories – project management, business analysis and leadership.

    • Familiarity with the business values driving a proposed project including health care costs, product portfolio enhancements, regulatory compliance and/or simplification of operations. Familiarity with these goals will drive an end-to-end perspective and understanding of projects.
    • Ability to identify and turn ambiguity in current processes, into tactical and definable solutions
    • Ability to review existing reports, metrics and data and make recommendations for changes to improve quality of effectiveness and efficiency; including the ability to challenge existing thoughts in a positive and assertive manner.
    • Demonstrates an understanding of the flow of data and information through multiple business areas; includes development of a technical and business knowledge of functional areas
    • Oversees the entire project life cycle and ensures the design of the system & process meet the needs of the business as defined in the requirements including documenting the process, assessing and managing risk, forecasting and managing resource needs, developing metrics, clarifying roles, managing the release/rollout of the process to ensure issues and problems are addressed and if applicable ensuring legal, compliance and HIPAA standards.
    • Ability to manage the scope and phasing of projects in an agile environment; forecasting and estimating of effort to ensure that customer expectations on delivery timeframes are effectively balanced.
    • Collaborates with business partners to collect business requirements / reports between areas assigned business unit. Focuses on coordination of participants, review of feasibility, performance needs, and thoroughness of documentation.
    • Expert level ability to develop, define and document user stories and use cases; including current process flow documentation, new process design and development
    • Adept at performing risk analysis, identifying risks, documenting risks and risk mitigation approaches; and recommend methods and controls, which will help mitigate the known risks, ensure that the risks are incorporated into the business requirements.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of underlying data structures and data flow as it relates to business processes and data management principles.
    • Demonstrates project management skills, including development of project plans, milestones and the use of the Rally (or similar agile workflow tools) for tracking projects. Creates, develops and writes meeting agendas, minutes, action-items and helps to identify critical success factors.
    • Maintains effective informal and formal communications with business constituencies through proactively responding to concerns, displaying an understanding of their business and providing suggestions and solutions.
    • Maintains consistent drive and focus individually and for project teams by effective use of problem solving, issue resolution and managing to milestones.
    • Shares knowledge with colleagues to help maximize team performance.
    • Performs constant tracking and communicates effectively throughout the project life cycle including post-implementation follow up and if applicable review with business owners and production support staff.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years Project Management experience
    • Experience with small, medium and large project activity.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 4 or more years of healthcare industry experience 
    • 3 or more years of project management experience 
    • Knowledge of internal operations 
    • Knowledge of small group sales process

    Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
