UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Consumer Insights Senior Analyst to join our Strategic Insights team.  This position will join our growing team, which has an increasingly important leadership role in driving growth for UnitedHealthcare and enabling our mission to help people live healthier lives. 

This role will support strategic consumer insights initiatives that have visibility across various UnitedHealthcare business divisions.  These initiatives include research that focuses on member satisfaction, obtaining and retaining members, understanding the member experience and plan preferences, identifying ways to improve the Net Promotor Score (NPS), and testing communication pieces.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day research activities and collaborate effectively with a variety of partners
• Consult with internal business partners and senior team members to understand business objectives and develop research plans to effectively address informational needs, from project design to final recommendation
• Manage member and consumer panels with guidance from senior team members
• Represent the voice-of-the-member in business decisions through presentations, reporting, meeting participation and ad hoc inquiries
• Analyze data to uncover stories and themes and concisely present findings in a digestible manner
• Build strong partnerships with internal business clients in all functional areas of the company
• Draft executive summaries for upper management
• Use research to identify ways to improve NPS and CAHPS scores
• Manage sample requests and ensure quality of output
• Process and track invoices, and update project list for research studies
• Coordinate sharing of data with internal stakeholders
• Train research agencies on new processes when needed
• Partner with procurement to obtain and define statement of work agreements
• Ongoing management of research agency partners to ensure UHC vendor requirements are met
• Act as a team player contributing to the success of a strong strategic insights/marketing research team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong project management skills
• Experience managing consumer-based quantitative and qualitative primary marketing research
• Bachelor’s degree
• Must be able to create and edit complex Excel files and PowerPoint presentations

COMPETENCIES AND BEST PRACTICE FOR HIGH PERFORMERS

• Demonstrated understanding of marketing research methodologies
• Consumer marketing research experience
• Healthcare industry exposure
• Ability to identify research objectives and appropriate research methodologies
• Excellent presentation skills
• Willingness to tackle administrative tasks

COLORADO RESIDENTS ONLY: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
