In this role, you'll be responsible for all aspects of quality assurance within the claims job family including conducting audits and providing feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance.     This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Refine Medical Claim Review quality auditing procedures.
    • Provide constructive auditing feedback to the MCR staff.
    • Partner with MCR Management Team to provide effective and efficient MCR recommendations.
    • Promote and support MCR business objectives.
    • Interface with Medical Directors, nurses and other claim associates.
    • Contribute to or lead as needed, quality improvement projects

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent years of work experience
    • 3+ years of working experience in claims processing or quality
    • Moderate proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
    • Experience with Microsoft Word (Create and Edit documents), Microsoft Excel (data entry and sorting) and Microsoft Outlook

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Active LPN/LVN license in current state of residence
    • Knowledge of procedural coding (ICD - 10, Revenue codes)
    • 3+ years of MCR (Medical Claims Review) experience
    • MCR 30D Readmission review, UMR, C&S, and/or M&R review experience
    • Familiarity with claim processing and related systems (COSMOS/CPA, NICE, CSP Facets, CPS Facets)

    TELECOMMUTING REQUIREMENTS:

    • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
    • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
    • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

    Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $20.77 to $36.88.
