The Associate Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering business requirements, writing queries, performing data analysis and creating reports for internal use.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage own workload and work with minimal assistance to complete tasks

• Prioritize work according to business priority and deadlines

• Adapt in an environment with shifting priorities

• Understand and document business requirements, and work with both non-technical and technical resources to build solutions for business problems

• Define and understand Use Cases of a system and build a test plan and test scenarios around them

• Work with Microsoft Excel in a technical capacity: Perform lookups, build pivot charts, write macros & VBA

• Work with Microsoft Access in a technical capacity: Create queries, create forms, write macros & VBA

• Understand relational database management systems

• Understand and write SQL queries for reporting and adhoc requests

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel in a technical capacity (creating lookups, creating reports, writing macros)

• 1+ years of experience writing SQL to pull data from relational databases

• Knowledge and/or experience with writing in scripting or programming languages to create and automate applications

• Knowledge and/or experience managing projects and writing business requirements

• Knowledge and/or experience with creating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel

• 2+ years of experience writing SQL

• 2+ years of experience in programming

• 2+ years of experience managing projects and writing business requirements

• 2+ years of experience with creating User Acceptance Testing

• Experience in Health Insurance industry

• Knowledge of Facets application
