JOB TITLE: Branch Manager
REPORTS TO: Chief Retail Banking Officer

The Branch Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers. This will be completed by overseeing the daily operations of the branch either directly or indirectly. The Branch Manager will create a productive, team-oriented work environment by leading and assisting staff in sales promotions and cross-servicing efforts.
This position will participate in the continuing evolution of the retail delivery system including fostering the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve the customer experience.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Conducts customer and prospect calls for the Bank in order to deepen existing relationships and obtain new business and motivates and coaches branch staff to do the same.
- Creates, develops, and leads regularly scheduled individual and branch sales meetings.
- Creates a positive working environment that facilitates exceptional service, expanding profitable customer relationships and employee engagement.
- Brings out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation.
- Proactively considers nontraditional methods of meeting customer’s needs without “brick and mortar” locations.
- Focuses on deepening client relationships through deposit gathering, use of electronic services, and loan products.
- Manages and enhances the growth of consumer lending portfolio. Dependent on lending skills and individual authority levels, approves, originates and administers consumer loans.
- Minimizes loan losses and exceptions through effective documentation, underwriting, timeliness of renewals and collection efforts, and relationship building.
- Directs all operational aspects of the location including sales, customer service, human resources, and facilities.
- Effectively supervises, motivates, and utilizes Branch staff to ensure that all Branch operations and internal controls are completed in an accurate and timely manner according to the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Develops a team of cross trained individuals that can perform all customer service functions within the branch.
- Ensures a performance management environment across the branch by recognizing positive contributions, recommending salary adjustments, performing periodic performance evaluations, and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Utilizes staffing models that optimize staff abilities and minimize branch costs by hiring and promoting motivated personnel.
- Ensures branch compliance with security policy and procedures and maintains records of staff security issues, codes and key distributions. Ensures adequate staff training on security issues such as robbery, fraud and premises topics.
