VOWS Symposium

Virtual
One Time
  • What

Are you a transitioning service member, veteran, or military spouse seeking a new career opportunity or do you represent a company interested in hiring and supporting veterans? Then this event may be perfect for you.

The 2021 Veterans On Wall Street (VOWS) Symposium, hosted by EY and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, will offer two fully virtual + free days of incredible content and networking opportunities focused on supporting and connecting our transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and corporate partners.

For the past ten years, the VOWS Symposium has been the premier destination for veteran/military-connected job seekers to gather with veterans already employed in a wide range of industries, senior corporate leaders, hiring managers and other key influencers from government and the financial services industry. Past speakers have included high-ranking military officials, successful veteran leaders from across industries, and senior executives from Wall Street’s top firms. The Symposium is designed to convene leading thinkers and stakeholders to discuss the transition into the civilian workforce with a targeted focus on career readiness.

This year’s event will feature a full day of content and break-out sessions tailored for each audience, and a second day exclusively for companies to speak directly with interested candidates.

Registration is completely free, and you can customize the sessions you want to attend, from resume workshops to interview prep sessions, and so much more.

When you register, you'll be asked which track you'd like to join -- this determines which virtual sessions you will be invited to attend (all are free). The track options are:

    • CAREER TRANSITION TRACK: This track is designed for active duty or transitioning service members who are preparing for their first post-service opportunity in the civilian job market.

    • CAREER ADVANCEMENT TRACK: This track is designed for veterans with some time in the civilian world since their transition, potentially on their first or second job and looking for opportunities to grow and pursue long-term success post-service.

    • MILITARY SPOUSE TRACK: This track is specifically for military spouses and veteran spouses, along with those companies that have a strong interest in recruiting, retaining and championing this growing and incredibly important cohort.

    • MILITARY COMMUNITY ADVOCACY TRACK: This track is for company representatives, including HR, talent acquisition, veteran ERGs, DE&I and other interested professionals who want to hire and retain more veterans and military spouses and continue to support the veteran community.
