    The VP/LFO, US Consumer Lending & Beyond the Card Products will provide strategic and financial analysis to profitably grow our share of spend and lend in the marketplace. Their team will own the end-to-end financial management of key Lending initiatives and provide analytical and strategic guidance across pricing, Plan It, personal loans, insurance and customer treatment initiatives to drive growth and optimize performance across product lines. The role will have strong cross-functional collaboration and work closely with the product, marketing, pricing, risk, and finance teams for the US Consumer Services business. This is a high visibility role with a focus on some of the most critical initiatives across the Enterprise.

    The candidate will provide strategic and financial thought leadership for the US Consumer business and will work closely with the VP/LFO for US Consumer Card and SVP for Lending, Analytics & Beyond the Card Products, among other senior leaders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage high-performing Director teams owning end-to-end deep, data-driven analytical efforts to unlock insights into sources of value creation for Lending, Beyond the Card Products and the overall business P&L.
    • Proactively work with the business to identify the critical business questions, frame the correct analyses to make decisions, and rapidly drive those analyses to closure
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners in Product, Marketing, Risk, Pricing, Finance and other functions
    • Develop actionable recommendations on the business and strategic questions at hand; effectively communicate complex ideas; and actively seek to drive the strategy of the business
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive environment and our competitive positioning
    • Train, supervise and coach the team on technical skills, lending and deal economics

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Excellent communicator with strong business acumen and analytical skillset who can deliver messages and think on their feet with senior leaders and key partners.
    • Strong content expert in Lending and Beyond the Card Products with an excellent understanding of credit risk, provision, pricing, and customer behavior on card products.
    • Effective and inspiring team leadership skills, with proven ability to hire, coach, train and develop teams with strong technical and analytical skillsets.
    • Ability to articulate complex ideas with brevity, simplicity and impact
    • Leadership and collaboration skills across a wide network of matrixed relationships
    • Natural strategic mindset or “business intuition” - ability to step back from the numbers and consider the analysis and its impacts from multiple points of view
    • Ability to handle high pressure environment with aggressive deadlines while balancing multiple priorities and customers
    • Quantitatively oriented and very numerate - comfortable with thinking through the “quick math”
    • High energy, proactive instinct
    • Ability to balance attention to detail and accuracy with tight deadlines
    • 7-10 years’ work experience
    • Experience with Lumi / Big data, SQL and/or SAS preferred
    • MBA or related graduate degree preferred

    Salary Range: $176,750.00 to $282,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
