    THE MEMBER ASSISTANCE MORTGAGE MANAGER, LATE STAGE DEFAULT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING AND DIRECTING THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE FORECLOSURE, BANKRUPTCY, CLAIMS, AND PROPERTY PRESERVATION INDIVIDUALS. THIS MANAGER ENSURES ALL FORECLOSURE AND BANKRUPTCY ACTIVITIES ARE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, INVESTOR, AND INSURER GUIDELINES. ADDITIONALLY THIS MANAGER MAXIMIZES ALL CLAIMS RECOVERIES BY ENSURING TIMELINE ADHERENCE AND PROPERLY CONTROLLING THIRD PARTY AND MEMBER RECOVERABLE ADVANCES.

    1. Leads the staff in Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Claims, and Property Preservation on a daily basis providing oversight, insight, direction, thought leadership, inspiration, and mentoring to each of them. (25%)
    2. Manages the vendor relationships with foreclosure attorneys and property inspection and preservation companies, keeping them accountable to performance and timelines standards. (20%)
    3. Manages pipeline of potential claims to ensure timely filings and reviews all curtailments of claims to determine root cause of curtailments and implements action plans to prevent the recurrence of the curtailment. (20%)
    4. Ensures proper controls and governance of corporate advance to maximize recoveries and eliminate member impact. Ensures default invoices processed are booked to the correct advance accounts. Conducts loss analysis on each loan after all claims have been filed. (15%)
    5. Researches and determines root cause of customer complaints, quality control defects, and internal and external audit findings and develops and implements action plans to prevent the recurrence of the issues.   (10%)
    6. Works cross‐ functionally to streamline processes and provide exceptional service levels to Members, Partner Credit Unions, and Partner Employees. (5%)
    7. Expands the capabilities of subordinates through coaching, training and reviews. Hires effectively for open positions. Ensures that new hires are trained and equipped to excel in their respective roles. Takes swift and effective action to remediate any staffing issues, including but not limited to poor performance, untrustworthiness, lack of empathy for Members and peers, lack of respect, or failure to thrive in their respective roles. (5%)

    Required Skills

    The manager must possess a well‐versed and diverse background in mortgage servicing default operations, including advanced level of knowledge and understanding of federal, state, investor, and insurer guidelines in foreclosure, bankruptcy, claims, and property preservation; and

    1. A Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics or related field is required. Equivalent experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, claims, and property preservation management can be substituted for the degree requirement
    2. At least 10 years experience in mortgage default services
    3. At least 5 years experience in mortgage default management position
    4. Communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written form
    5. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of products, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
