This attentive professional will have an eye for detail and be especially adept at representing the accounting function across all aspects of the company.

Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, data analysis, data modeling, presentation, and coalition building. This is a broadly defined role with the opportunity to make a major impact in our organization.

• Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
• Has strong GAAP foundation: accrual accounting, revenue recognition, lease accounting
• Create and process journal entries
• Complete the month-end close process
• General ledger account reconciliations
• Reconcile bank statements
• Generate accounting statements and reports
• Reconcile intercompany transactions
• Research cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts.
• Reconcile credit card charges and verify expenses with proper documentation
• Review employee travel expenses to ensure adherence to client travel policies and approve for reimbursement
• Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
• Perform statistical analysis on financial data, identify trends and develop hypotheses
• Assist in the budget & forecast process and maintain data integrity within the information system
• Analyze and report upon actual vs. budget/forecast variances
• Evaluate operational efficiencies in various areas of the organization
• Assist in orienting, training and reviewing work of others
• Maintain telephone and personal contact with staff and vendors on receivable matters as directed by manager
• Help coordinate timely filing of corporate, state and local tax returns and payments
• Maintenance and compliance of policies and procedures

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required
• Must have experience with and be proficient with NetSuite or similar software
• Five plus years of experience required
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting
• Experience working in a multi-site, multiple general ledger environment
• Must have knowledge of AR/AP and inventory accounting
• Must be very proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to effectively take initiative, multi-task competing priorities and remain focused/organized in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
• Highly motivated takes ownership and delivers on commitments
• Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude and team-player
