About The Position The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing excellent service to customers and ensuring that all options to resolve customer concerns and/or requests are exhausted.nbsp; nbsp; Essential Responsibilities: * Answer inbound calls from customers through an automated dialer system and communicate account information in a professional and efficient manner. * Accept and schedule payments for customers in accordance with department guidelines.nbsp; * Participate in welcome call dialer campaigns and assist customers with any questions they may have about their new relationship with Veros Credit. Also participate in outbound call dialer campaigns. * Routinely communicate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and route customers to the appropriate department as needed. * Evaluate the customerrsquo;s concern and/or request to determine the best solution and educate the customer on any required course(s) of action. * Update account information in accordance with established procedures and security guidelines and perform accurate account documentation. * Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying. * Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence. * Prepare and submit payment deferment and due date change correspondence. * Other duties as assigned Requirements: * Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. * 1+ year(s) of experience in the customer service and/or collections field, preferably in the subprime auto finance industry. * Effective communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills. * Effective organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. * Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state and local collections regulations. * Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team. * Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed. * High School Diploma or GED.
