    Citi BCMS Ex Issuer Services Data Governance Office is the centralized data management team for Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, M&A and Debt and Equity Capital Markets. This team drives the establishment, deployment and adoption of data management and governance practices across these organizations within the overall Citi Data Transformation initiative. We are responsible for Data Governance, data quality, metadata, reference data and master data management strategy and capability implementation across all BCMA - Ex Issuer Services Businesses driving standardization and continuous improvement. VP, Business Data and Process Coordinator, will be responsible for data governance, data management and process improvement practices with the assigned business to ensure data is fit for purpose and meets the requirements and expectations of the business and that practices are aligned to Enterprise-wide data handling policies. Candidate provides management and leadership of end-to-end data requirements, scope and decision making with respect to data sourcing, metadata, reference data and data quality. Responsible for facilitating and expediting resolution of data issues, including escalation, where needed, and coordinating business use cases, in partnership with Institutional Clients Group (ICG) and other enterprise end-to-end tactical and strategic data management initiatives MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Working to ensure that data within the business meets business requirements for both operational and analytical use cases
    • Under the leadership of the SVP, partners with domain owners, domain stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define and capture end-to-end metadata and partners with the appropriate resources responsible for updating the repository / catalog
    • Partners with IT and Data Engineering partners to ensure technical metadata and lineage metadata is captured and maintained in the appropriate metadata repository or data catalog
    • Assists the Data Quality Lead, as required, to ensure that data quality is measured both at the source and throughout the data supply chain. Assists with oversight of Data Issue Management processes to ensure that data issues are captured, tracked and resolved in a timely manner, with appropriate escalation and status reporting as needed. Facilitates problem resolution on complex issues, often requiring cross functional co-ordination
    • Reports directly to the North Americas BCMA Ex-Issuer Business and Process Coordinator
    • Coordinates the end-to-end discovery and documentation of data ecosystem within a process or processes

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of leadership ability to execute and coordinate data management and data governance practices across multiple teams and stakeholders
    • 5+ years of experience in problem-solving skills and ability to facilitate problem identification, resolution and escalation across multiple business and technology disciplines
    • 5+ years of knowledge and experience to act as a SME for the data domain(s) or the ability to attain and maintain the needed subject matter expertise
    • Minimum BS/BA degree from accredited university in Computer Science, Information Management or a related field
    • Sound knowledge of data governance and data management principles, and the role of data governance in the successful implementation of a data strategy across BCMA
    • Strategic thinker that can provide and execute leadership to data governance initiatives
    • Demonstrable analytical skills to evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements
    • Experience with assisting in Critical Data Element (CDE) identification and prioritization strategy with senior stakeholders from the business, including overall understanding of Data Quality rules and profiling
    • Good experience with viewing data as an asset end-to-end
    • Excellent communication with ability to influence stakeholders of varying levels of seniority
    • Exposure to banking and banking related regulatory landscape (e.g., CCAR, Liquidity etc.)
    • Experience with banking risk landscape (e.g., credit risk etc.)
    • Knowledge of data risk and risk taxonomy is highly desirable
