Job Description
The Vice President of Global Brand Communications and Newsroom will lead the strategic development and execution of integrated communications across brand & sponsorship, newsroom content, and social media strategy for Visa’s Global Communications & Events Team. This is a unique opportunity to establish a new function, elevate Visa’s newsroom capabilities, and build a best-in-class digital and social-first strategy and team. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who understands how communications must evolve to be fit for purpose in the era of AI, and brings experience in building, recruiting and launching new teams. They must also bring deep expertise in insights and a data-driven mindset to inform strategy, optimize performance, and measure impact across channels.
This global role spans the full breadth of Visa’s products and requires a leader who can partner and manage by influence across a matrixed organization. Deep expertise in digital storytelling, media strategy, and cross-functional collaboration is essential. The successful candidate will reinforce Visa’s narrative, enhance brand equity, and drive engagement across external and internal channels to reach key stakeholders including consumers, clients, partners, and employees. This leader will have the unique opportunity to harness Visa’s elite global sponsorship platforms-including the world-renowned FIFA, the high-octane Formula 1, and the iconic Olympics-to elevate brand storytelling and drive unparalleled engagement.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, or media, with at least 5 years in a senior content and or / social leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI technologies to enhance content strategy, personalization, and performance across digital platforms.
• Proven success leading global initiatives with cross-regional impact, including managing by influence in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Track record of building, recruiting, and launching high-performing teams from the ground up to support new functions or capabilities.
• Proven track record of building and scaling global content and social media programs that include interactive content (e.g. video, audio, etc.)
• Deep understanding of digital platforms, analytics, and emerging media trends.
• Experience managing large teams and cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence at all levels.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 254,500 to 397,700 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
