Membership Portfolio Services, within our US Consumer Services Business, is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. We are developing unique and differentiated ways to strengthen the Membership Model across Amex Offers, Advertising, Dining and Marketing Technology.
The Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) team is a global organization that sits within Membership Portfolio Services (MPS). It is American Express’ marketing services center of excellence with the charter of powering high quality, efficient, user-centric digital marketing experiences that accelerate business growth through optimized enterprise MarTech & MarOps solutions.
You will be joining ECMX’s US MarOps organization, focused on providing frictionless, flexible, and flawless marketing enablement. This is achieved through streamlining, scaling, and transforming operations with greater efficiency, agility, quality, and speed.
Reporting to the Vice President, US Marketing Operations, we are seeking a highly strategic and innovative Vice President of Content & Channel Management to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of end-to-end marketing content and channel management. This VP plays a critical role in leading content & creative development, approval and distribution as well as channel operations across marketing email, direct mail, web, phone channels and more. Close partnerships with Marketing, Product, Technology, Control Management and Compliance will be essential as we transform the marketing ecosystem across people, process and technology.
Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day operations as well as transformation strategy for US Marketing Operations’ content and channels, enabling flexible, flawless and frictionless delivery of US marketing initiatives.
• Oversee ECMX’s marketing content & creative review and approval process for US business units including Consumer and Commercial, Lending, Social, Global Dining, Amex Offers, B2B, GABM, etc.
• Manage & maintain all pre-approved marketing content in the DAM (Digital Asset Manager) with a focus on efficient and high-quality operations.
• Own end-to-end channel operations for US marketing campaigns including email, direct mail, web, phone and more.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, and Technology teams to drive the transformation roadmap for Marketing Operations aspects of marketing content, creative and channel distribution.
• Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Technology, Control Management and Compliance to accelerate innovation while supporting ongoing revenue goals and operational excellence standards.
• Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing Marketing Operations organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.
• Develop talent pipelines and succession planning to strengthen organizational capabilities for the future.
• Lead with empathy and inclusivity, ensuring diverse perspectives are leveraged to deliver better products and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
• Proven track record of leading Marketing Operations, MarTech and/or Process execution activities required with experience leading content and/or channel management strongly preferred. Familiarity with marketing in highly regulated industries is strongly desired.
• Ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make decisions with less than perfect information.
• Excellent communication and influence management skills with a demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and encourage partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
• Knowledge of process and MarTech capabilities with ability to dial up details into winning strategies for optimized marketing enablement. Experience with Adobe suite strongly preferred.
• Creative, solution-minded approach with the ability to problem-solve against a backdrop of a quickly evolving MarTech landscape.
• Ability to think innovatively and challenge the status quo.
• Experience leading and inspiring large-scale cross-functional teams & projects that deliver enterprise wins.
Salary Range: $176,750.00 to $282,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
