    I’M INTERESTED! WHAT WILL I GET TO DO IN THIS POSITION?

    In this role you will be managing the strategic sourcing activities for indirect spend sub categories with the goal of achieving cost reductions while continuing to maintain or improve quality.  As the Sourcing Manager, you will identify, evaluate and select suppliers, control sourcing activities, negotiate and close framework agreements, as well as review and improve execution of contracts while managing relationships with vendors.  The successful candidate will work closely with internal business partners and must demonstrate both attention to detail as well as strong task focus to close open items.

     

    YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:

    • Drive process implementation to support company policies and procedures.
    • Own major indirect spend categories, working directly with the business to drive value add from our supply base.
    • Develop strategy, implement action  plans, negotiate and execute several contracts on an annual basis valued at $1 MM or more per year.
    • Conduct operational and organizational reviews of existing supplier relationships to identify value enhancing opportunities, measure and mitigate supply risks, and share best sourcing practices.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understand defined spend areas which includes the understanding of supply risks, source options by category, markets, and trends impacting the business.
    • Develop and recommend strategies supported by industry/market conditions.
    • Perform best in class negotiation processes and use a wide variety of procurement tools to optimize value.
    • Anticipate, prevent, and address operational issues with internal business partners and suppliers.
    • Establish and manage regional relationships with suppliers, internal partners, and procurement resources to support global and local initiatives for the Americas Region.

    Required Skills

    WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

     

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
    • A minimum of 2 years of Procurement or related department experience.
    • Ability to understand supply markets with a track record of effective sourcing solutions.
    • Continuous improvement experience with ability to extract savings and execute cost saving projects.
    • Leadership and prioritization skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present data to large groups.  
    • Experience with an ERP system.

     

     

     WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:

    • SAP experience 
    • Institute of Supply Management certification or formal Procurement training.
    • The ability to support key functional groups from a strategic procurement perspective.
    • Experience with strategic Procurement that includes sourcing a wide variety of indirect categories.
    • The desire to be the primary contact and internal resource for a fast paced high impact focused manufacturing organization.
