Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFCATIONS
- 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-4 years of MySQL High Availability solutions, managing complex replication topology like Group Replication, Classic / GTID Replication.
- MySQL InnoDB Cluster experience or alike is a plus
- Strong understanding of MySQL database fundamentals
- Strong understanding of MySQL Classic / GTID Replication fundamentals
- Strong understanding of MySQL database security management
- Should have strong UNIX platform skills and understanding of network, storage, tiered application environments and security.
- Proficiency in writing SQL procedures and functions for administration and application support
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, Shell scripting, Perl/Python scripting is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex systems and database environment issues.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs.
- Work experience in a Financial Institution will be preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires the incumbent to travel up to 10% of the time.
WORK HOURS
- Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
