    Job Description

    Buyer & Seller Policy Solutions is a team focused on creating new products, services and policies to convert more cash payments to card. The team creates solutions for large strategic clients (e.g., Apple, Google, Facebook) to help them build their payments businesses, pilots innovative solutions to grow card acceptance in non-traditional methods and in new segments (e.g., electric vehicle charging) and emerging markets, and ensures payment acceptance practices support both the needs of buyers and sellers.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The core responsibility of this role is to be the product manager of a program called System Integrity. System Integrity provides a common authorization framework and standard requirements for buyers and sellers in order to encourage good business practices and investments, which in turn will improve authorization approval rates, reduce fraud and reduce operational costs; all part of Visa’s strategy to support payment system participants to make informed decisions and improve data quality for all stakeholders. In addition, you will also create and further develop a portfolio of specialized and impactful products and strategies in other verticals and segments.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Providing data analysis support and accountability for discrete pieces
    • Coordinating with multiple internal stakeholder teams (e.g. Data Platform, Business Development and Sales, Merchant Sales, etc.) to drive program implementations to their planned schedules
    • Tracking program performance and preparing dashboards/reports to senior leadership
    • Identifying client pain points and developing solutions to mitigate
    • Implementing program enhancements and updating Visa policies
    • Contributing to internal and external communications, document drafting and management
    • Responding to client and internal Visa inquiries about program parameters, fee structure, and best practices for successful program implementation
    • Proactively monitoring trends and identifying where new program features can further encourage good business practices with our clients, and when existing programs can be sunset

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 9+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
    • Background in payments and knowledgeable of Visa’s network/operating model a plus
    • Customer-oriented mindset, knowledgeable in all client, customer and partner roles
    • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation skills
    • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams around the world across different time zones
    • Exceptional problem solving skills with ability to apply structured and critical thinking to ambiguous problems (small, fast-moving initiatives or large, multi-dependency initiatives), and ability to use data to prove or disprove hypotheses and inform solutions set
    • Experienced with product development life cycle, including planning, development of product roadmap, defining and supporting goals and strategies, and ongoing management
    • Demonstrated ability to research market trends, competition, and user requirements (primary and secondary research methods)

    This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Travel is not expected, but may be required on an exceptional basis.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
