ABOUT THE TEAM
Network Processing Communications delivers the semi-annual business release documentation that includes the VisaNet Business Enhancements Release Global Technical Letter and Implementation Guide (GTLIG) used to communicate technical changes that may impact Visa clients and endpoints. In addition, Network Processing Communications delivers the Global Service Activation Guide (GSAG) to communicate activation, implementation, and testing activities for enhancements described in the GTLIG to internal Visa staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn and apply Visa’s writing standards for all documentation, which includes internal documents as well as external, client-facing business release documents
Edit documentation to adhere to grammar and mechanics rules, as well as to Visa’s writing standards
Collaborate with authors and editors on writing and reviewing documentation
Analyze business requirements, conceptual approaches, and technical designs to define and document the technical changes for clients and internal staff
Collaborate with Systems architects, Product, software engineers, project managers, and customer support staff to ensure technical requirements, implementation and testing requirements are fully developed and documented
Ensure that all technical changes are documented fully and accurately
Collaborate with the Network Processing Communications team to produce high quality documents
Write Business Release documentation articles in XML using a customized XML-based structured authoring tool
Research latest technologies to help improve documentation processes for the Network Processing Communication team
Support the team in automating innovation initiatives
Support the team in analyzing and automating manual processes
Write User’s Guide and train staff on the use and maintenance of the automation initiatives
Assume responsibilities of other assigned projects
Qualifications
Junior-level students seeking an internship for summer 2018
Pursuing a degree in technical writing or related field
Skilled at writing and editing technical documents
Strong skills in HTML and CSS
Other coding skills are a plus
Ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on
Strong ability to collaborate
Highly driven and resourceful
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Except in exceptional circumstances, undergraduate candidates who will require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future will not be considered for this position
