    Job Description

    Reporting to the Vice President, Global Partner Solutions, this role will help define and execute the strategy for expanding Visa Direct through key global partners such as Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Paypal and Square.

    Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology, i.e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT).  Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more.  The push payments market is estimated to be more than $80 Trillions of payment volume globally, replacing cash, checks, and ACH with push credits directly into bank accounts in real-time.

    The Global Partner Solutions team is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art push payment solutions for some of Visa’s largest and most sophisticated partners, leveraging existing capabilities or developing new ones across Visa Direct, tokenization, risk and back-office services etc. We work directly with partners’ product and engineering teams and with other Visa global and regional teams to launch high-impact programs that drive growth and visibility for Visa Direct. 

    We are seeking a Business Strategy and Planning Manager to help develop and execute a structured growth strategy with these partners in a complex and dynamic environment. In addition to managing strategy, planning and business operations, the role will also manage pricing for the programs managed by the team and help in the structuring of multi-year partnership deals. 

    The ideal candidate will be a structured, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in payments and digital technology. S/he enjoys working on a variety of initiatives and in collaborating with people.  S/he is thoughtful, curious and analytical with a desire to make an impact.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Business planning – multi-year, annual operating plans, account-level plans

    • New opportunity identification and assessment (quantitative and qualitative)

    • Develop and manage performance dashboards at executive and operating level

    • Manage pricing framework in line with Visa Direct and regional benchmarks and support deal structuring and approval.

    • Preparation of and participation in key client and executive presentations

    • Co-ordination and preparation of cross-functional business reviews

  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

      

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 6-8 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

    • Self-starter who’s comfortable with ambiguity and asking questions.

    • Excellent problem solving skills.

    • Strong communication skills -- adept at presentations and creating visuals to tell a story a plus.

    • Comfortable with working on several projects concurrently.

    • Experience working in the payments industry a plus.

     

    Additional Information

    WORK HOURS

    • Candidate must make themselves available to support clients across global timezones.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

    • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work no more than 10% of the time

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
