    Job Description

    Team Summary

    The Analyst will be a key member in Visa’s Enterprise Transformation and People Solutions team, which is responsible for driving meaningful and sustainable change across the People Team and many segments of Visa’s business.

    The Analyst of Business Planning and Operations is a highly cross functional and strategic role on the People team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique mix of operational excellence, analytical rigor, and natural curiosity. The candidate must be able to seek creative solutions and move quickly to implement, often in the face of ambiguity. This is a ‘ground floor’ opportunity to directly influence processes and approach of the Enterprise Transformation and People Solutions team, which is focused on operating with discipline and speed to better serve as a strategic partner to the rest of Visa. Key subfunctions within the Enterprise Transformation and People Solutions team include: Strategy and Transformation, Systems and Solutions, Workforce Planning and Analytics, Policy and Compliance, Employee Relations, and the Transformation Office.

    This role reports to the Director of Business Planning & Operations but will have frequent interaction with the SVP of Enterprise Transformation and People Solutions.

    What an Analyst for Business Planning and Operations does at Visa

    The Analyst plays a critical business role in supporting the overall Enterprise Transformation and People Solutions organization.

    Best-suited candidates will be persuasive, clear communicators with high emotional intelligence. They will be analytical, self-motivated, and able to collaborate well with others from a diversity of backgrounds. This position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to:

    • Examine existing processes and identify improvement opportunities to drive operational efficiencies
    • Build rigor and new processes as needed to ensure the Enterprise Transformation & People Solutions team achieves and delivers on priorities
    • Support and improve team quarterly and executive reporting
    • Support strategic headcount planning for the function
    • Develop and maintain the team’s budget
    • Develop and maintain a scorecard of functional KPIs
    • Create and collaborate on presentations for team leadership
    • Own end to end execution of special projects from inception, to planning, to execution with clear communication, outcomes, and responsibilities
    • Drive process excellence and strategic connectivity within the Enterprise Transformation & People Solutions team

    This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

    Basic Qualifications
    • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD) (preferably in fields of business, finance, economics, engineering, statistics, or another related field)
    • Strong sense of commitment and accountability, possess a business-focus mindset, self-motivated to deliver work of the highest standard (i.e., strong attention to detail)
    • Developed analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data models and authoring of complex presentations (i.e., deep familiarity with tools like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a time-sensitive team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
    • Experience in management consulting, business operations, or corporate strategy
    • Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments, financial services, or digital/technology industries preferred
    • Strong project management and planning skills with ability to progress multiple priorities concurrently
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into a compelling narrative, and in a variety of formats (ex. presentations, talking points, executive summaries, etc.)
    • Keen eye for process improvement and operational efficiency
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual & analytical rigor
    • Self-starter, results oriented individual with the ability to “roll up their sleeves” and handle numerous projects concurrently
    • A team player and collaborator, able to work well with a diverse group of individuals in a matrixed environment, ranging from junior to executive level
    • Ability to anticipate issues before they arise and work to proactively support resolution
    • Advanced level of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 100,400.00 to 128,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
