    Job Description

    Visa is seeking an inspiring leader to run of all aspects and facets of the marketing strategy and team for the CyberSource business, the global payments management platform within Visa.  The VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING role will work closely with all members of the executive team of CyberSource to drive growth and engagement of our product lines and channels.  This individual will be a part of collaborative, intelligent and fast moving leadership team and will be empowered to lead the transformation of our marketing strategy and go-to-market model.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and daring leader to make a significant impact on a fast growing business within the dynamic payments industry. The VP, Marketing will build effective, scalable strategies and a strong culture of excellence across our global marketing activities, and will execute all aspects of the company’s marketing strategy. The best-suited candidate be a persuasive, inspiring and clear communicator with high emotional intelligence and will possess a strong accomplishment record of motivating teams.  

    The VP, Marketing must be a charismatic leader who is comfortable being a visible spokesperson for the company amongst a variety of internal and external audiences.  He/She will build effective, trusted and collaborative relationships with prospects, clients, partners, analysts and employees. This will include leading, managing, and developing a team of marketing professionals to generate demand, launch solutions, PR, AR and lead efficient and effective marketing operations.  

    THIS POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Overseeing the design, development and implementation of the CyberSource global marketing strategy·        
    •  Leading a large team that supports all components of the marketing engine including field marketing, demand generation, content creation, product marketing, events, the management of multiple websites, SEO, paid search, social, marketing operations, ROI and budget management
    • Acting as a strong partner to customer facing teams to support sales activities and be skilled at stakeholder management and prioritization
    • Driving differentiated thought leadership and positioning; unafraid to generate new, disruptive and daring ideas to position the business
    • Leading analyst and consultant relations activities to build brand affinity for CyberSource
    • Acting as a passionate leader/coach to the team providing effective performance management and strategies for professional growth
    • Developing overarching marketing plan and budget and ensuring teams stay on track to targets
    •  Embracing technology to improve automation of functions and improved information management and sharing
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 15+ years of marketing team leadership
    • 10+ years of payments industry experience
    • Proven & seasoned B2B Marketing expertise, with a deep knowledge and understanding of the payments and merchant acquiring space
    • Inspiring, engaging people leader and communicator, able to set a vision and bring people with them
    • Ability to operate in a hyper-growth environment and understand both the complexity and challenges of navigating a Marketing function through transformation
    • Strategic mind-set, with exceptional clarity of thought combined with a hands on, detailed oriented approach when needed
    • Deeply customer centric and passionate about understanding the needs of our clients
    •  Exceptional at driving prioritization across a complex portfolio of solutions
    • Experienced and credible in building valuable relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers
    • Highly skilled in metric based decision making

    Additional Information

    WORK HOURS 

    • Incumbent must make themselves available to speak with partners in various international time zones

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 30-40% of the time.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

    • This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
