    Job Description

    Team background:

    When Oliver Jenkyn, Group President, took his new role in early 2023 – he stood up the “Global Markets” team. This group of executives represents 100% of the revenue of the company, bringing together 5 of the Regional Presidents and the key client-facing functions (MS&A, DP, Global Clients, Global Deals). The Operations team is responsible for supporting the Group President as well as the Global Markets team more broadly in achieving its top priorities (OKRs) – across an array of strategic and operational activities.

    Job Description:

    The Manager, Global Markets Operations is a key member of the Global Markets Operations team, reporting to the VP, Global Markets Operations. They will focus on both strategic and execution-oriented topics.

    Strategic topics could include: global coordination on key risks facing multiple regions (e.g., A2A, RTP, Wallets, Regulatory activity, Localization), consideration of new business and operating models, identification of key trends impacting our business and codification of a “library” of local payments experiences globally, MSO priorities, Sales Transformation initiatives, SMB Acceptance priorities, optimizing and streamlining corporate processes (e.g., Deal Refresh) etc.

    Execution-oriented topics could include: OKR authoring and tracking, EC reporting on key business updates across the Global Markets team, crafting presentations on key business topics and global payments trends for external /internal audiences, Quarterly Business Reviews facilitation, Budget facilitation, crafting agendas and content for market visits around the world, planning for key events like AMK, etc.

    Across all topics, the role will require highly effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement across a wide array of functions – incl. collaborating with senior leaders (key stakeholders include but are not limited to: Regional and functional BPOs, Regional Leadership teams, Country Managers, Global Sales and Commercial Operations, the Office of the CEO, Finance, Corporate Strategy, and more).

    Responsibilities include supporting the VP on:

    • Owning and prioritizing the running list or “backlog” of topics relevant for the President and the Global Markets team
    • Executing against the key priorities
    • Preparation of materials for key forums and meetings – slide deck creation and scripting
    • Assisting in the development of perspectives on a range of priority strategic initiatives as indicated by Group President
    • Crafting the agenda and working with stakeholders on content for the President’s key internal forums: The Global Markets Leadership team and the Market Leadership Council
    • Contributing to the knowledge of key market themes/trends
    • Supporting the management of the Global Markets Team and the Group Presidents’ own operating model (e.g., market visits, corporate calendar, process optimization etc.)
    • Engaging with stakeholders across a range of priority topics
    • Collecting data on financial and other business performance and synthesizing outcomes (for mid and year-end assessments)

    This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of relevant work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or 0 years relevant work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 7 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA etc.)
    • Knowledge of Visa business, strategy, and operating model
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
    • Highly structured and organized. Able to dynamically prioritize across several topics
    • Highly proactive with ownership mentality
    • Great problem-solver (ability to absorb a lot of information and summarize/synthesize key takeaways, able to quickly put down perspective and iterate, etc.)
    • Curious and fast-learner with a positive can do attitude
    • Highly collaborative with colleagues. Comfort and poise when interfacing with senior executives
    • Comfort with some ambiguity / able to dynamically adjust to changing environment
    • Highly motivated and excited by the potential to craft this new function and team
    • Action-oriented (able to take high levels ideas into practical next steps and execution plans)
    • Strong writer
    • Analytical (Excel, quick back-of-envelope math, etc.)

    Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 136,250.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
