    Job Description

    Visa University (VU) is seeking a Data & Analytics Manager to join our global team. You will be responsible for supporting our global and regional team in articulating the impact of learning and insights for data driven decision making with your expertise in data analysis and visualization. You will play a crucial role in data governance and process management and contribute to our learning data experience.

    Responsibilities

    _ Data Engineering_

    • Develop and maintain learning data warehouse from learning data from several primary and secondary data sources, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

    • Use Python for data analysis and manipulation, and to automate tasks where necessary.

    • Implement and oversee data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and security.

    • Perform quality assurance on data and deliverables.

    • Design and manage data processes, from data collection and storage to analysis and reporting.

    Data Analytics

    • Be an out-of-the-box thinker who is passionate about brainstorming and implementing innovative ways to use data to answer business problems.

    • Extract and understand data to form an opinion on how to best help and derive relevant insights for our stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with global and regional learning teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet these needs.

    • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging learning data to drive business solutions.

    • Provide analytical and technical support to internal stakeholders including our VU colleagues and deliver SME training.

    Visualization & Reporting

    • Leverage advanced visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Watershed to create insightful dashboards and reporting.

    • Advanced excel knowledge.

    • Develop visualizations to make complex analyses accessible to a broad audience.

    • Create and maintain projects documentation.

    This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or atleast 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in advanced visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
    • Demonstrable programming ability in different languages (R and Python are essential)
    • Experience with data governance and process management.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Demonstrable experience with HR / Learning data preferred, but not required.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams.
    • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible style, with the ability to tailor data driven results to various audience levels
    • Able to work unsupervised and efficiently whilst designing, implementing and documenting own processes to ensure high quality work
    • Detailed oriented, expected to ensure highest level of quality / rigor in reports & data analysis
    • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn
    • Flexible, adaptable, and able to think quickly.
    • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 100,700.00 to 130,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
