Job Description
The Manager, Fintech Incubator Partnerships will be a key member of the Global & NA Fintech Partnerships team. This role is focused on supporting growth with partners from Visa’s Fintech Fast Track Program as well as early stage companies secured through bespoke deals. Visa’s approach to supporting these young companies helps accelerate their business, and gives them the tools and relationships to help launch new cards and access Visa's global network and programs rapidly.
This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing on partnership opportunities with fintechs across a variety of verticals, ranging from financial services and payment infrastructure to money movers and direct to consumer brands. The role requires an experienced professional who can build relationships with early stage fintechs, understand their capabilities, and identify and structure opportunities for mutually beneficial partnership.
The opportunity is to join Visa’s Global & NA Fintech Partnerships team, which works broadly across the payments and fintech ecosystem and closely internally with Visa’s product organization as well as other internal stakeholders to execute on partnership opportunities. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Account Management
Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the relationship and sales management
Utilize a consultative relationship and sales approach that ensures that the client's business objectives are met and that the performance metrics of their payment portfolios are maximized.
Collaborate across product, marketing, and VCA teams to sell value added services and utilize value-in-kind funding in deals
Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization.
Provide market and industry intelligence, identifying opportunities and issues that will drive overall strategy and execution.
Maintain knowledge across all value added services
Develop strategic set plays and offerings unique to young fintech companies
Serve as the center point of contact at Visa for clients and as an escalation point for complex client issues
Report customer project accomplishments and deliverables to senior management
Track and manage opportunities across program
Sales Operations & Analytics
Produce analysis and reporting on fintech pipeline, launches, and on ad-hoc basis
Perform research and strategic analysis on fintech trends and verticals.
Essential Functions
Strategize and manage fintech partnerships and effectively communicate the value of the brand both internally and externally
Create and streamline the partner onboarding process
Develop and execute on a scalable go-to-market approach for supporting a long tail of younger, high growth companies
Continuously improve the program approval and delivery process working with cross-functional teams to ensure client focused excellence.
Report to and interact with senior management and executives to indicate the status of partnerships
Implement short, medium and long-term strategic opportunities/products/services through excellent project management working with internal and client teams
Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship and direction of the business
Work closely with Visa Partner product and technology teams to build out the enabler ecosystem on the partner portal to build out the requirements and user stories
Work within cross-functional teams (internal / external) that include representation from Marketing, Product, Digital, Innovation Centers, Operations, Market Research and Technology.
Actively participate and lead various ad-hoc internal projects as assigned and be an evangelist for Visa Fintech Fast Track
Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization
Track and monitor program development by creating KPIs
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of payments and Fintech space
• Excellent client relationship management skills with demonstrated track record of managing partnerships through all stages and strategic selling
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, operations, consulting, and/or industry experience in payments
• Track record of implementing strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated trouble shooting/problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong documentation skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross functional relationships, including in a matrixed environment
• A willingness and ability to be flexible and do what is needed across the team
• Demonstrated ability to ramp-up quickly, manage multiple workstreams at the same time, and work with sense of urgency
• Familiarity with reporting tools
• Ability to work within a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties
• Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate
• Team oriented, ethical, empathetic, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible
Additional Information
** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.
** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 130,800.00 to 170,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
