    TEAM DESCRIPTION

    Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the payments consulting arm of Visa. The combination of our deep payments expertise, our breadth of data and our economic intelligence allows us to identify actionable insights, recommendations and solutions that drive better business decisions and outcomes for clients. VCA offers consulting services for issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs and others across 10 service lines that span the entire customer journey. We execute over 1200 projects every year for our clients globally, mobilizing our team to work side-by-side with our clients to solve critical business problems.

    The Value-in-Kind (VIK) and VCA Performance Management team within VCA helps accelerate the growth of our client-facing advisory services, by providing end-to-end program management, spanning the breadth from strategy and policy to process and operations. We collaborate closely with our consulting and analytics colleagues worldwide as well as cross-functional partners from with Finance, Product, Sales, Strategy, HR, etc., Examples of current work streams / focus areas for our team: advising on incentive structures in deals, helping operationalize a new growth strategy, designing and deploying enhanced performance reporting while delivering baseline reporting for executive audiences, driving the annual operating plan process, and rolling out a new project, portfolio and capacity management platform.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    When Visa structures long-term partnership agreements with clients (i.e., ‘Deals’), an increasing proportion of the client incentives are structured as a promise of future value-added services, known as ‘Value in Kind’ (VIK).  This is a key aspect of Visa’s deal strategy – it motivates clients to partner with Visa on programs that help them grow their business, and in turn, helps Visa grow and diversify revenues.

    The Global VIK Program Management team supports and governs all phases of the VIK Program, which includes structuring VIK commitments into deals, and then planning and delivering the services against these commitments.

    The Manager, Global VIK Program Management will report to the Senior Director, Global VIK Program Management and will contribute to the Team’s efforts to manage the VIK Program, including:

    • Research and/or analyses behind key reference materials and guidelines that are critical to deploying and managing the VIK Program
    • Tracking and coordinating activities and initiatives undertaken by the regional VIK Program Management Teams (‘VIK Champion Teams’)
    • Supporting development of training content, e.g., to communicate changes in program guidelines or processes to client facing sales teams and delivery functions
    • Updating and enhancing the Program’s internal web portal
    • Advising stakeholders (e.g., Sales and Product/Service owners) on how program guidelines apply to their specific situations when clarification is needed (i.e., ‘edge’ cases); Making interpretation recommendations; Tracking decisions.
    • Developing creative solutions for managing VIK in global deals, which pose unique process challenges
    • Providing business/program perspective and other support to operational process improvement efforts led by ‘enablement’ functions such as Controllership and Legal.
    • Leading or supporting other initiatives as needs arise – it is a dynamic and rapidly-evolving area!

    We are looking for a motivated, proactive, organized, detail-oriented individual with the aptitude to quickly understand key concepts and an ability to influence and collaborate with business partners.

    Basic Qualifications:

    5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in Finance, business operations, program management, consulting operations or related field • Highly proficient with Power Point, Word, Excel, and Outlook • Ideal candidate will have some experience in Payments industry and/or deal strategy. Key Competencies: • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and attention to detail • Organized and structured in thinking, approach to work, and communications • Aptitude to grasp new and complex concepts quickly • Proactive and independent • Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders and drive towards desired outcomes • Positive and solution-oriented – a problem solver who finds ways to overcome challenges and to flex/adapt/pivot quickly when priorities change • Takes full ownership of assigned responsibilities • Exercises good judgment knows when to ask for guidance, and when to make independent decisions • Works well with people of varying backgrounds, levels-of-expertise, personalities, etc., and builds partnerships

    Additional Information

    WORK HOURS: Varies upon the needs of the department

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
