Description Our ideal candidate will work closely and collaborate with the UX team, Product, Development, QA and Developers to create and build the ideal experience our customers need. This position requires you to be self-motivated. We’re a team that jumps in with both feet and does what needs to be done. The candidate must be a strategic, independent, self-motivated creative professional, capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also have an extremely developed sense of design and impeccable attention to detail. Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas: • Working in the User Experience design group and reporting to the Director of Content, the content designer/copywriter is responsible for producing UX and brand-relevant content strategies and copy. • The role requires well-demonstrated skills in these areas, solidly informed by user-centric standards. • Responsibilities include both large projects and ongoing maintenance, working both independently and as part of cross-functional teams. • To be successful, the candidate must be organized and able to work on several projects at once in a fast-paced environment. • The responsibilities of the content designer/copywriter range from the highly tactical (sometimes making minor content corrections or updates) to more strategic (assisting the Director of Content in crafting creative solutions to business problems).

    Responsibilities Works closely with interaction designers, visual designers, product managers, and project managers to: • Inventory and analyze existing content • Write, edit, and proof content • Develop and modify standards and guidelines • Understand business and technical requirements • Analyze user and business needs • Define user requirements Works closely with our business partners to consult on long-term and short-term online content strategies, as well as: • Collaborate on content strategies for projects of varying size • Write, edit, and proof content • Develop style guides and standards • Participate in team meetings

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent scale)
    • Must Graduate with a Bachelors or Masters degree between August 2020 - June 2021

    Preferred Qualifications • Experience working on content for interactive design environment • Familiarity with user-centered design principles • Experience writing content for mobile devices, or familiarity with using mobile devices for internet access and texting • Superb communication skills: The candidate will be able to articulate clearly and succinctly — verbally (in large group settings as well as one-on-one) and in writing — the primacy of the user-centered design as well as the specific contribution of the content efforts. • Portfolio of relevant work samples • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and comfortable with PowerPoint • Experience working in with or on a financial services project is a plus • Basic understanding of templated systems and content management systems

    WORK HOURS:

    • Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ​​​​​​

    • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
