    Job Description

    Visa Inc. Global Platform Products Marketing & Communications is searching for a sharp, ambitious and enthusiastic marketing expert, with strong leadership skills. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with global cross-functional leads to develop and implement multi-channel marketing/commercialization plans, with a focus on data-led, signal based, digital marketing/commercialization, commercialization, and collateral. This position will work across key global initiatives (i.e. Brand Marketing, Contactless Payments, Cross Border,  Global Marketing & Comms, Legal, etc.) to execute on all short and long term commercialization plans developed to deliver on marketing KPIs and critical business objectives and initiatives. 

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

     

    • GLOBAL PRODUCT MARKETING/COMMERCIALIZATION: Coordinate with initiative stakeholders to develop results-based marketing plans and lead plan execution. Build and execute product activation and launch plans and drive execution of critical product launches and strategic projects across global markets for the Platform Product team
    • LEADERSHIP: Act as a marketing/commercialization subject matter expert, guiding marketing team through marketing/commercialization/media needs, educating marketing organization on marketing/commercialization (especially digital), and representing Visa’s marketing/commercialization expertise with external partners and clients. Lead cross-functional efforts to build global sales tools & assets (_decks, case studies, infographics, sales sheets, webinars, social marketing/commercialization postings, websites. e-mail, press releases, videos, etc.) _to support global initiatives, product launches, and scale acceptance of next-generation platform solutions
    • AGENCY MANAGEMENT: Lead marketing/commercialization process with agency teams (lead marketing/commercialization strategy agency, and digital agency) including briefing, plan review/refinement, measurement, plan optimization, budget management, and reporting
    • TECHNOLOGY AND DATA: Partner with the Marketing Technology Team, product leads and data partners to bridge and build new opportunities for further marketing/commercialization efficiencies, sophisticated measurement, attribution and increased performance
    • MEASUREMENT: Partner with analytics, research and measurement teams to measure the impact of marketing/commercialization strategy and optimizations, understand plan performance, and evangelize results to corporate-wide stakeholders
    • OPTIMIZATION: Proactively provide ongoing recommendations to optimize, test, learn, and train with global regions, other product groups, and cross functional teams. Go to Market strategizing with regions and product owners, and all product marketing aspects.
    • RELATIONSHIPS: Establish productive relationships with key partners and subject matter experts within and beyond Visa spanning Creative, Brand, Finance, Legal, Measurement, Research, Analytics, global Centers of Excellence (COEs), and agencies
    • THOUGHT LEADERSHIP: support and engage with internal Visa teams, like Global & Regional Product, Global Product Marketing, Global Communications, legal and sales, to deliver acceptance objectives, develop business case tools, competitive assessments, customized selling materials, etc.
    • EXECUTION/PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: Organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of our org, develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization, and create and manage long-term team goals.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 9+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3+years of experience with a PhD with a concentration in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science - MIS Preferred
    • Hands on experience delivering, implementing and gaining approval and adoption of strategic marketing/commercialization plans from brief, to plan, to learning agenda, to optimization, to post-campaign reporting
    • Experience in digital marketing/commercialization (including social marketing/commercialization and programmatic buying) and traditional/offline marketing/commercialization
    •  Experience driving B2B and B2C, on and offline campaigns and partnerships that delivered on both brand and direct response goals
    • Sharepoint Expertise required
    • Clear track record of collaboration and consensus building with multi-disciplined teams
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated, self-managed with a sense of urgency and ‘can do’ attitude
    • Outstanding verbal and written communications with ability to communicate with a diverse audience, including executives, business, product, technology, finance stakeholders 
    • Proven ability to lead a portfolio of programs and initiatives end-to-end to meet commitments, with a strong work ethic, a details-oriented approach, and a customer-centric perspective
    • Adept strategic thinker, problem solver and pragmatist
    • Enterprise CRM and Sales Enablement tools (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, SalesForce, Oracle CRM; Seismic)
    • Workflow Automation tools (e.g. JIRA, Workfront, Aprimo) preferred
    • Experience leading large cross-functional teams on major interpersonal projects preferred

    Work Hours 

    This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.

    Travel Requirements 

    This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 10% of the time.

    Mental/Physical Requirements 

    This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
