    Job Description

    The Fraud and Authentication development group is responsible for building critical risk and authentication products, applications, and services in VISA. This includes idea generation, the design, development, and testing of products, applications, and services that provide Visa clients with solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud for Visa and Visa client payment systems.   The systems we build process millions of transactions a day and our vital to the worldwide ecommerce ecosystem.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

    • Collaborate with project team members in order to ensure the development and implementation of new data-driven business solutions.
    • Engagement in requirements definition and clarification
    • Collaboration and alignment with architects and senior technologists on architecture and design
    • Provide solid cost estimates for effort and time
    • Create design documentation
    • Facilitating design and code reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.

    Qualifications

     BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with internship level industry experience
    •  Experience with Object Oriented software development and building scalable, robust, and high-performing applications and services
    •  Expertise with J2EE server-side web application framework and REST services
    •  RDBMS database design, optimization and performance and/or No-SQL DB experience with Mongo DB or similar and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
    •  Knowledge of Security Principles, Web Standards, and Accessibility Best Practices
    •  Experience in test driven development and test automation
    •  Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Automated Test technologies such as Jenkins, Subversion, Maven, Hudson, Git, Selenium, Chef is desirable
    •  Knowledge in the Spring Framework and SOA /REST applications is preferable
    •  Knowledge of Ab Initio development or other ETL tool is desirable

    WORK HOURS

    The incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    The position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
