    About Wealth Management - Century City:

    The Century City team provides holistic advice to high net worth individuals and their families to help them achieve their financial goals. We offer wealth planning, private banking, investment management and trust and estate planning solutions. The Century City team has expertise in advising Business Owners, Multi-Generational Wealth, Corporate Executives, and Tax-Exempt Entities like Foundations and Corporate Retirement Plans.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    As an intern at Northern Trust, you will have the opportunity to spend ten weeks working on meaningful projects, developing relevant skills to jump start your career while joining our inclusive and relational culture. You will work directly with your team on day-to-day tasks with weekly program events to work on new skills, network with senior leaders and socialize as an intern community. A recruiter will work with you to determine the best team placement given your interests, skill set and relevant experience.

    The Program:

    Sample Projects:

    There are a number of on-going projects on which a summer intern could work on within a rotational structure designed to give exposure to the following business areas:

    • Investment management: Assist with creation of investment performance materials for client meetings; assist with discrete investment research projects as determined by Portfolio Advisors; participate in economic and market updates at team meetings.

    • Advisory: Assist with tracking client meetings, touch points, and applicable advisory content; update values of held-away assets across GPS profiles.

    • Banking: Assist with deposit and loan compliance documentation.

    • Sales and Marketing: Assist with creation of campaigns for client interests; assist with updating client profiles with interest codes.

    • Corporate Finance RDP Associate (Chicago, IL)

    • Financial Analyst

    WHO YOU ARE

    • You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university with an expected graduation date between December 2024 through Summer 2025

    • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a Business, Finance, Economics or related major;

    • You have a minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher

    • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in private wealth management;

    • Strong communication (oral and written), analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills;

    • Strong level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite of products and ability to learn new technology;

    • Passion for learning with ability to learn quickly in high-pressure environments;

    • Leadership, teamwork and client servicing abilities;

    • Well-rounded and an appreciation of diversity and inclusion; and

    • Knowledge of and interest in the financial services industry.

    Salary range: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour. Salary range is an estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement and pension plan contributions, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life insurance, and other wellbeing benefits.
