    Securities Operations is comprised of more than 5,000 team members in more than 40 offices across North America, Europe, and Asia. We bring together Wells Fargo’s market-leading businesses in debt and equity underwriting and distribution, investment research and economic insights, interest rate, commodity and equity risk management, structured lending facilities, securitization, prime finance, and clearing. Our relationship-driven business model is focused on delivering capital markets and advisory solutions to middle market, large corporate, institutional, and public entity clients.

    Securities Operations primarily supports the Corporate Investment Bank group Sales and Trading activities. The product areas supported consist of the firm’s securities activities (both fixed income and equities), fixed income derivatives, real estate capital markets, credit derivatives, equity derivatives, exchange-traded futures and options and foreign exchange.

    The Operations Leadership program is designed for Undergraduate and Masters level candidates to develop early stage talent for future leadership roles across the Securities Operations team. The program will combine on-the-job experience with formal development actions with a focus on Capital Markets activities. The duration of the program is 22 months.  This position will start JUNE 2020.

    • Collateral Management, Confirmations and Derivatives Settlement
    • FCM Operations
    • Middle Office
    • Process Review & Enhancement
    • Product & Strategic Delivery
    • Shared Services
    • FX Operations
  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • College senior or second year MBA or equivalent Master’s Program candidate graduating no later than December 2019 - Spring 2020
    • Due to the fast track nature of the program, ideal candidates would be described as a high potential individual that currently demonstrates strong leadership capabilities
    • Ability to research, compile, and perform basic analysis on operational data
    • Ability to independently provide basic summary and recommendations of operational data
    • Possesses good troubleshooting and resolution skills
    • Exceptional reporting and analytical skills and a general understanding of operations policies and procedures
    • Ability to multi-task on projects
    • Superb interpersonal skills 
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing, to all levels
    • Must have proven team building skills and success in a team-oriented environment
    • Proficiency in handling multiple projects and assignments while maintaining a high level of performance
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and collaboratively in a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • 6+ months of Capital Markets Operations experience
    • All majors are welcome as well as candidates with prior Operations experience performing analysis and/or former military involvement.  Other preferences include a demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high volume environment, maintaining organization, setting priorities and effective time-management skills as well as a desire to interact with multiple levels of leadership.  Impactful involvement through school, volunteerism or activism within the community is also desired. 
    • Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.  They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions.  There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
