     POLITICAL SCIENCE ADJUNCT FACULTY

    TALLAHASSEE COMMUNITY COLLEGE announces openings for the following adjunct faculty position in History and Social Sciences for the 2019-20 academic year.

                    

    MAJOR FUNCTION:  Adjunct faculty will provide instruction, service and support of college policies and procedures, along with with opportunities for professional development.   

     

    ADJUNCT FACULTY: Minimum of a Master’s degree in political science or in a closely related area with at least 18 graduate hours in political science, comparative politics, or international relations.

     

    In addition to the minimum qualifications listed for this position, all prospective adjunct faculty are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:

     

    1. Commitment to student retention and success
    2. Commitment to development and assessment of student learning
    3. Use of technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning, including distance learning and alternative delivery systems
    4. Willingness to support a diverse population of learners inside and beyond the classroom
    5. Ability to work in a participatory and collegial setting

  • Qualifications

    WHAT'S NEEDED IN THE ROLE:

    • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and skills in online marketing and practices including website design and copy, mobile marketing, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), outbound email techniques and practices including HTML experience, responsive design and CSS.
    • Deep knowledge of Email Best Practices and CAN-SPAM compliancy considerations
    • Experience with Cost Per Click (CPC) and Cost Per Action (CPA) models/efforts.
    • Experience with web analytics and campaign management tools such as Google Analytics.
    • Familiar with social media and has working knowledge of the following sites including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Places, YouTube, Wikipedia, Content Management Systems and blogs.
    • Experience with SiteFinity CMS preferred.
    • Experience in the interactive agency industry or experience preferred.
