    This is a skilled position involves providing excellent customer service through the safe and efficient delivery of

    ready mix concrete to customers on commercial and residential job sites within designed specifications,

    communicating efficiently with dispatch agents, maintaining delivery receipts and driver logs, and accurate

    reporting of equipment defects to the maintenance department daily.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Proper PPE is to be worn at all times.

    • Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment, pursuant to D.O.T. regulations.

             Report defects to maintenance department.

    • Know and understand proper completion of delivery tickets, different mix designs, slumps and take care of concrete products according to customer specifications and Quality Control requirements. 

    • Safely stage ready mix truck under loading hopper at various plant locations. 

    • Knowledge of local delivery areas.

    • Safe operation of mixer truck hauling a perishable concrete product. 

    • Upon arriving on job site, driver must be able to safely maneuver truck in often very unstable ground conditions. 

    • Per customer needs, add and remove extension chutes to mixer. Move levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area of placement of concrete.

    • Upon completion of discharge driver will wash the chutes and truck in appropriate SWPPP approved location as provided by the contractor to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck. Prior to leaving job site, chutes will be secured to appropriate location on truck, all paper work will be completed and collection of monies if necessary.

    • At the end of the shift all paper work must be completed and turned in. All cash, C O D must be put in C O D envelope and put in locked box. 

    • Must have reliable transportation and is responsible to call schedule each evening for the following day start time.

    move objects up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

    distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. 

     

    Work Environment:

    Daytime schedule is Monday – Friday with varying stand and end times, and Saturdays as scheduled.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving

    mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat. The noise level in the work environment is

    Required Experience

    Required Experience:

    • Must have a valid Class A or B CDL and valid Medical Card as per DOT standard to qualify. 
    • 1-2 years plus experience preferred but will train the best inexperienced but qualified candidates.
    • Applicants must pass a pre-employment, background check, drug test and physical, and driving test.
