You may have also acquired the following skills:

• Materials expert with knowledge of Alloy 600 issues and PWSCC
• Expert with material properties of alloys and metals used in commercial nuclear power plants
• Previous nuclear plant experience and/or nuclear industry experience
• Excellent problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.

Your Opportunity

This temporary role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Materials Engineer in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Products and Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include train, mentor and support qualification of early career materials engineers new to the Nuclear industry. Provide advice and consultation to engineering staff. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $59 - $79.81 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

Basic Requirements

• At least 18yrs old, with a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• English proficient, other languages may be required
• Basic Math Skills: Adding, Subtracting, Division, and Multiplying
• Computer Literate
• Able to stand, bend, squat, reach, grasp and pick up items; occasional lifting up to 70lbs
• Reading & comprehension of reference materials, instructions, policies & procedures

*Starting pay $24.73/hr (If you obtain City of LA Health Waiver for Health Coverage with a parent, spouse or domestic partner)

or $18.78/hr Base Pay with company health coverage.
