    THE JOB (THE BIG STUFF):

    • Acting as the lead point of contact for a project from construction start to closure.
    • Being accountable for project results along with project sponsor.
    • Supporting the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
    • Providing support for assembling the RCU project team and stakeholders to ensure accountability and awareness of functional impacts during the project or projects.
    • Establishing selected vendor Scope of Work documents and RFP’s as assigned to enable vendor selection and the generation of proposals and project budgets, and work authorization letters for those selected areas or project elements (i.e.: exterior signage, FF&E).
    • Actively collaborates with consulting design professionals and contractors during all project phases including design, scheduling and implementation, and close out.
    • Working cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
    • Following a defined, agreed upon project management methodology.
    • Presenting oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.

    Required Skills

    WHAT'S NEEDED IN THE ROLE:

    Working knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Adobe, CAD viewing tools, Outlook) and Internet, along with office equipment.

    Basic knowledge of financial services, credit union industry and regulations, terminology, and procedures.

    Strong organization, research, analytical and planning skills.

    Strong verbal communication skills.

    Ability to understand Architectural and Technical plans, spec sheets, technical bulletins and building drawings.

    Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and be resourceful.

    Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

    Ability to document information clearly, accurately and completely.

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.

    Understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools:

    • Initiation
    • Design: definition/scope/requirements
    • Implementation & Control: scope, work plans, resources, deliverable's, testing, monitoring, transition planning
    • Close: completion and assessment

    Strong and tested project management skills.

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

    • Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
    • Ability to maintain a valid California driver’s license.
    • Degree preferred in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering.

     

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    A combination of education and experience equivalent to a four-year college degree or three (3) to five (5) years' project management experience, including demonstrated experience in professional building or technical building systems design.
