Intern - Credit Analyst, Real Estate Banking Group Summer 2019 Paid Internship Zions Bank has an opportunity for anintern to work in our Real Estate Banking Group. The intern will work on or be exposed to the following: * Research andanalyze the Real Estate Investment Trust Industry and Bank debt metrics. * Perform similarupdate research and analysis on other industry specialties including SeniorHousing, Hospitality, as well as other commercial/industrial property types. * Review industryresearch reports to provide a summary of the specific industry for commercialand industrial loans. * Analyze borrowerfinancial statement ratios and compare to the industry averages and generate asummary of questions/issues to discuss as part of loan underwriting. * Analyzeindividual tax returns and credit reports to calculate debt to income ratio andpersonal cash flow available to service debt. * Performresearch on individual owners and businesses and provide a summary of any findings. * Assist incompleting annual file/loan reviews. * Variousclean-up/data projects. * Currently working on a Masters or Bachelor'sdegree with strong emphasis in finance, accounting, business or relatedcoursework. * Basic working knowledge or interest offinancial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes andprinciples. * Knowledge or interest in working withvarious types of loans, credit risk, legal and regulatory requirements. * Requires strong interpersonal andcustomer service skills. * Good communication skills, both verbaland written, is essential. * Detail oriented with strong analytical,organizational and problem-solving skills * Ability to make sound decisions and beinquisitive.
