What were looking for * 10 to 12 week summer internship, 40-hour work week * Rising seniors working toward Bachelors (BS/BA) degree * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Self-motivated individuals with attention to detail and effective time-management skills * Eligible to work in the United States Internship Summary The Underwriting Intern works closely with the Property and Casualty Underwriting departments to understand what information is needed to underwrite and price policies across various lines of business. As an intern, you will gain first-hand experience in handling basic underwriting assignments while working with experienced mentors. Youll have the opportunity to perform basic underwriting duties within guidelines and providing assistance to underwriters by handling a variety of tasks that support the review, acceptance/decline of new or renewal personal lines business. In addition, you will work closely with other functions such as product management, actuarial, digital customer experience, operations, and compliance to ensure service and quality objectives are met.
