    Internship, Human Resources, Employee Experience and Culture Zurich is currently looking for an Intern, to support our Human Resources, Employee Experience and Culture team out of our Schaumburg, IL office. This intern will work under immediate supervision and perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally this position is part of a summer program with an assigned mentor. Primary project you will work on: * Support listening and feedback platform (survey actions, inboxes, etc.) * Participate in Rewards and Recognition work streams * Program delivery work with Engagement team on successful implementation of key programs (North American Food Drive, SkillShare Summit, A Time For Giving, Team Spirit Day) * Communications - create articles, newsletters, videos and other content for internal communications vehicles and social media * Support quarterly closeout process through reporting and database entry * Grants and skills-based volunteering support assist with community grants application processing, skills-based project reporting/management * Individual projects as assigned by Director * Support roll-out of Benevity tool * Support Employee Experience initiatives You will learn: * Professional written and verbal communication skills * Project management * Relationship management * Managing multiple priorities * Event planning and implementation * Volunteer management * Time management * Strategic planning * Data analysis and reporting Other development opportunities: * Co-lead intern Habitat for Humanity build to develop leadership, project planning and communication skills * Present at intern lunch and/or Finance/Underwriter Training Program lunch and learns to develop presentation skills and present final Engagement team presentation (outcomes and what was learned during the internship) * Build network by interacting with Zurich colleagues at events, coffee/informational meetings, etc. to expand skills in networking and personal brand representation * Participate in intern program development opportunities resume workshops, interview skills, etc. * Internal and external development opportunities such as visits to and meetings with nonprofits, professional association meetings, industry events and opportunities as appropriate Basic Qualifications: * Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business or related field * Trainee / Intern no experience required * Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2019 * Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA) * Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely Preferred Qualifications: * Community Investment, Employee Engagement, Marketing, Event Planning, Human Resources * Demonstrated leadership skills as a resident advisor, leader of a student or Greek organization, student government, etc. * Project management skills * Philanthropic experience, preferably in a leadership role * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong presentation skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Critical thinking and problem solving skills * Microsoft Office suite * Database and Share Point experience preferred Imagine working for a company that truly cares about their employees, customers, stakeholders, and communities they serve.
