Cyber Risk Engineering Intern (Summer 2019) Zurich is currently looking for a Cyber Risk Engineer Intern to work out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. The Cyber Risk Engineer Intern will support the Risk Engineering Business and work with our Risk Engineering team who deliver cyber assessments and risk mitigation services to active cyber insurance customers. As part of this internship you will: * Gain hands-on experience with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF) in conducting risk assessments; * Gain security project management skills * Contribute to tools/templates development for cyber service delivery projects; * Shadow a Sr. Risk Engineer on large account cyber risk assessments; writing associated assessment reports. * Research and write a whitepaper on a new or re-emerging cyber threat to be published on a Risk Engineering web page or in print. Basic Qualifications: * Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security * Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2019 * Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior) and no prior years of experience required in the Administrative area * Microsoft Office experience * Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA) * Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with risk assessment frameworks, such as NIST CSF, ISO 27k family, COBIT, etc. * Course work/interest in: * Security awareness * Incident Response * Security policy and procedure development * Cybersecurity metrics * Disaster recovery * Problem solving skills in customer focused environment * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Intermediate Excel Skills (Vlookup/pivot tables etc.) * Quick Learner * Experience in a leadership role * Self-motivated and able to work independently Imagine working for a company that truly cares about their employees, customers, stakeholders, and communities they serve.
