2020 Summer Internship - Listing Qualifications and MarketWatch Intern - June 2021/June 2022 Grads
This internship does not offer the ability to convert to a full-time position.
Listing Qualifications and MarketWatch are departments within Nasdaq's Legal & Regulatory Group. Listing Qualifications ensures that the companies that apply for listing and are listed on Nasdaq meet all the requirements for exchange listing. MarketWatch is Nasdaq's real-time surveillance group, reviewing company news and trading to ensure fair and orderly markets. Both groups use extensive technology to enable their analysts to more efficiently conduct surveillance and prioritize company reviews. In that vein, both groups are currently implementing initiatives utilizing machine learning (aka artificial intelligence).
The Listing Qualifications and MarketWatch Intern's responsibilities will vary largely depending on which project he or she is currently working. That said, the intern should expect to be exposed to all aspects of Nasdaq's listings and real-time surveillance programs.
Our regulatory program is constantly evolving, and as such, is regularly evaluating various initiatives and novel approaches that require testing and fine-tuning. The intern should expect to be involved in the evaluation and implementation of these initiatives, as well as other projects related to Listing Qualifications and MarketWatch's core functions.
