    The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

    This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August.

    Objectives of this Role

    Our Team

    Dorsey Wright interns support the Research and Product Development teams, while also providing front-line assistance to our clients. Interns are expected to learn enough about the website to walk clients through basic website functions and assist the research analysts in compiling client presentations and studies for our Daily Equity Research Report. Knowledge of or interest in the equity markets is desirable. This internship is a great opportunity for those who are looking for experience working in the financial services industry. Applicants must have experience with the Microsoft Office suite, as well as strong customer service and telephone skills.

    Project Overview

    • Create Client Education Content for publication on our website
    • Perform Competitive Intelligence work for product development groups
    • Support Product Development teams on new product development
    • Data architecture projects
    • Social media and media creation projects

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    Your Role

    • Assist research analysts in the preparation of daily research, client presentations, and longer-term research projects through the analysis of market data
    • Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate team member
    • Counsel clients through questions regarding the Point & Figure methodology and website navigation
    • Assist with administrative tasks, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
  • Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Is working on completing a degree in Business, or Finance, or Economics, Computer Science or related fields (preferably graduating by 2022 or 2023)
    • Has an interest in the financial markets
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to balance technical and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to contribute in a small office, team-oriented environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Has working knowledge in using scripting languages like Java, Python, VBA, and the like to conduct large-scale data analytics and testing is a plus
