    Job Description

    The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

    This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August. Upon completion of this internship, outstanding interns will be evaluated for full-time opportunities with NASDAQ post-graduation.

    The Nasdaq Investment Intelligence business is focused on creating innovative real-time and historical market data products and providing market transparency to institutional, retail, and individual investors. Our products and services offer strategic advantages, including the depth and flexibility of data management and delivery. Products include real-time, low-latency data feeds, web-based reports, and plug-and-play technology across regions and asset classes.

    Project Overview

    Nasdaq is currently executing a roadmap that sees the convergence of many separate strategies into a more comprehensive set of business objectives in 2020. This included the development of a UI framework, a historical data layer, new analytics, and services offered via API's and other similar technologies. This role will be involved in helping accelerate many of these separate strategies towards conclusion and integration into the larger evolving strategy.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    Your Role

    • Assisting in the management of the product life cycle for a suite of data products, from strategic planning to tactical activities
    • Helping to drive a solution set across development teams through market requirements and product positioning including working with other departments to execute product plans
    • Participating in the experimental, investigative, and testing efforts in support of real-time data feeds, such as Nasdaq data feed, Nasdaq API’s, as well as varied historical and web-based products
    • Reviewing and outlining market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers
    • Help coordinate the many phases of new product development, including research and design, financing, pricing, marketing, sales, and distribution
  • Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Is working on completing a degree in Business, or Finance, or Economics, or related fields (must be graduating in 2022)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with leveraging emerging distribution platforms (Cloud, API, etc,) to accelerate the customer product lifecycle
    • Has a background in understanding financial data including equity, derivative, fixed income markets, market data, economics, supply, and demand, etc.
