  • Responsibilities

    The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

    This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August. Upon completion of this internship, outstanding interns will be evaluated for full-time opportunities with NASDAQ post-graduation.

    Objectives of this Role

    Our Team

    We are a team of sales professionals that serve publicly-traded companies in the West Region of North America. We market and sell our full suite of IR Intelligence solutions, which is comprised of a complete portfolio of Capital Markets Advisory services, and the leading software platform available. We work with Chief Financial Officer, Heads of Investor Relations, and Sustainability Heads at companies. The team is composed of 4 quota-bearing sales professionals and 4 Inside Sales Desk members, all are based in San Francisco.

    Project Overview

    • Deep research on individual companies to facilitate a sales and marketing approach
    • Making sales outreach to CFOs, IR Heads & General Counsel via email and telephone
    • Updating our contact database in Salesforce - identifying & tagging new key contacts, etc.
    • Working with Sales Executives to build proposals, emails, marketing templates, etc.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    Your Role

    Support the West Sales team with Salesforce database hygiene maintenance and prospect outreach, email campaigns, event support, and outbound calling.

    • The intern will have a lot of the same responsibilities as the full-time ISD representatives
    • The intern will learn the fundamentals of the sales process, capital markets, Nasdaq Corporate Services
    • The intern will learn our suite of services and how to position our services to prospects
    • The intern will be managed by a Sales Leader that has over 25 years of sales experience and work alongside some of the most talented sales professionals at Nasdaq
  • Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Is working on completing a degree in Business or Finance or Economics (must be graduating by June 2022)
    • Someone who is curious and detail oriented.
    • Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey ideas
    • Has a demonstrated track record of working well in a team based environment, and building relationships

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Has a working knowledge of Capital Markets/Finance, or a strong interest to learn the same
    • Has strong research skills
    • Has previous experience in outbound marketing and professional phone presence
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office/Salesforce
