  • Responsibilities

    The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

    This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August. Upon completion of this internship, outstanding interns will be evaluated for full-time opportunities with NASDAQ post-graduation.

    Objectives of this Role

    Our Team

    Opportunity to work on cloud development migration projects for global index and reference data.

    The index and reference data teams are responsible for providing the technology platform in support of the Nasdaq Index business, which comprises some 45000 equity and fixed income indices used as benchmarks in trading activity globally. The index team builds reference data, index calculation, and index distribution technologies for real-time, file and api retrieval, and web delivery of index data.

    Testing and development participation in cloud migration projects for databases within index technology.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    Your Role

    In the junior development role, you will have an opportunity to participate in the evolution of index technology towards cloud adoption and software as a service initiatives. This will include development of test software, cloud engineering automation, and agile planning participation.

  • Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Is working on completing a degree in Computer Science, or Software/Computer Engineering, or Information Technology or related field (must be graduating by June 2022)
    • Familiarity in using Java, Python, SQL coursework and familiarity.
    • Exposure and use of cloud technologies, esp AWS. Familiar with GIT and other technologies
